Kelly Dean Madsen is Racey & Dean Inc.’s President and a Licensed Property and Casualty and Health Insurance Agent in the state of Virginia. She grew up in Clifton Forge, VA and graduated from Alleghany High School. She is also a graduate of the University of Virginia (UVA) and UVA’s McIntire Business Institute. She lived and worked for 6 years in the Washington D.C. metro area and Ohio as a retail buyer/planner after finishing her education. She returned to Virginia and began working for Racey & Dean Inc., her family’s business, in 2005. She became President of Racey & Dean Inc. in 2016.
Kelly enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and family outside of work. She also enjoys attending and volunteering for community events. She served on the Augusta Mutual Insurance Co. (AMIC) Agents Advisory Board from 2016-2017. She is currently an Alleghany Foundation Board Member, is Secretary of Clifton Forge Main Street, and is a past Board Member of the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.

Mary Anne Day Dean is Racey & Dean Inc. 's Vice President and a Licensed Property and Casualty Agent in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She grew up in Belmar, New Jersey, a beach town located at the Jersey Shore. She graduated from St. Rose High School and is a graduate of The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. In August of 1975, she married Thomas (Tom) P. Dean and moved to Clifton Forge. She stayed at home raising their daughters, Catherine and Kelly, until they attended college. During those years, she also taught pre-school at Clifton Forge Nursery School Co-op, and volunteered at school, church, and local events.
In 1995, she began working with her husband Tom at Racey & Dean Inc. Since that time, she served as a customer service representative, bookkeeper, office manager and as a licensed agent for the family owned and operated business. She became Vice President of Racey & Dean Inc. in 2016.
Mary Anne enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

A lifelong resident of Covington and Alleghany Co., Sonny started his career as a life and annuity Financial representative on April 3, 1993. Over the years Sonny has helped thousands of his clients meet both personal and business goals and dreams. In January 2017 Sonny became heavily involved in the Medicare world offering Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, and Prescription drug plans to his senior clients. In June 2021 Sonny also obtained his property and casualty license to be able to offer his client more options in the form of home, auto, and commercial insurance. Sondra R. Elliott is a Licensed Property and Casualty Agent in the state of Virginia. Growing up throughout Virginia, she is proud to call Alleghany Highlands home. Sondra earned an associate’s degree from Mountain Gateway Community College in business, while also being Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and holding a seat on the Curriculum and Instruction Board. While Sondra started as an intern, she grew to love insurance and the Racey & Dean Inc.’s family.
When not at work you can find Sondra spending time with her family; her husband, three daughters and grandson. Sondra also loves being outside whether it be fishing, hunting, golfing, or just sitting by the fire with a good book.

Tina D. Elliott is a Licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Agent in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Growing up throughout Virginia, she has spent most of her life in the Alleghany Highlands. She graduated from Covington High School while also earning certificates from the Jackson River Technical Center. She spent 7 years in Customer Service Relations before joining the Racey & Dean team. Originally joining as a Customer Service Representative, she has expanded her knowledge through the industry by becoming a Licensed Insurance Agent.
Outside of work-having adventurous spontaneity and being an avid outdoor enthusiast-you can find Tina kayaking river bends, hiking scenic trails, finding a new honey hole to fish, exploring new destinations, attending live musical performances, or just embracing the joys of motherhood. She enjoys attending various community events, as well as events afar, and is always up for trying something new.
